High Refractoriness
According to the inspection of the national refractory quality inspection and testing center, the new type of artificial foundry sand has a fire resistance temperature of more than 1790 ℃, which can overcome the limitation of the refractoriness of silica sand (1400 ~ 1700 ℃), reduce the sand sticking in important parts of the casting (holes, grooves, and hot spots), make the sand cleaning process very easy, and fully meet the fire resistance temperature requirements of molding sand.
Low Thermal Expansion Rate
When fused ceramic sand, silica sand, reclaimed silica sand and chromite sand are mixed with binder- alkaline phenolic resin and curing agent (the same ratio) to produce sand with a diameter ofΦthirty-five×For 55mm test block, the room temperature is 20 ℃ and the humidity is 60% at the time of forming. The test block is placed for 24h. After it is completely hardened, it is heated to 1000 ℃ to measure the thermal expansion rate of sand.
The thermal expansion rate of fused ceramic sand is 0.31%, of which the silica sand is 1.67%, reclaimed silica sand is 1.13%, while that of chromite sand is 0.64%. The thermal expansion rate of fused ceramic sand is the lowest, which is only 1/2 of chromite sand and 1/4 of regenerated silica sand. Therefore, the casting defects caused by thermal expansion of sand can be effectively suppressed during pouring.
Good Grain Shape of Sand - Spherical
The casting molding sand should be spherical, that is, when the angle factor of casting molding sand is less than or equal to 1.15, the filling rate of the mold can be improved, and the permeability of the mold can be improved. According to the data, the angle factor of fused ceramic sand is 1.06, very close to 1.0, indicating that the sand is very close to spherical. And the sand surface is smooth with less concave and convex. In the process of molding and pouring, because of its good fluidity, easy compaction and good air permeability can be guaranteed. Fused ceramic sand is easier to reduce the porosity defects of castings.
Low Amount of Adhesives
In the molding process, the same strength of molding sand is achieved, and the amount of adhesive is low, which can reduce the cost and it can inhibit the porosity defects of castings and improve the collapsibility of sand.
High strength, Low Crushing and Good reusability
Fused ceramic sand has the same hardness as zircon sand, and the change rate of particle size is lower. It is conceivable that the recovery and reuse rate of fused ceramic sand will be very high.
